Meet the Team: Andjela Stankovic

Not every developer starts out sure of exactly where they want to land. Andjela Stankovic didn't - what she knew was that anything to do with programming or data pulled her in, so she was ready to try all of it. That same open, try-anything instinct is what she now brings to building CRM systems at Loncom.

At Loncom, Andjela is a CRM Developer, working on the CRM development team led by Bojana Maletic. Her work centres on building clean, scalable CRM solutions - taking a client's tangled requirements and turning them into logic that's organised, structured, and easy for a business to actually run on. She works across a stack that includes:

HubSpot is where she does most of her hands-on work today - custom code actions, workflow builds, and the standalone scripts that handle the heavier data jobs behind the scenes - but her real strength is that no technology intimidates her. She'll grab any opportunity to learn something new, which makes picking up unfamiliar platforms and tools a natural extension of how she already works.

"Honestly, everything in IT interested me. I didn't want to close any doors early, so I was ready to try anything connected to programming or data and see what stuck," Andjela says.

That indecision actually shaped one of her better decisions. Unsure exactly which direction to specialise in, she applied to two universities and was accepted to both - the other more heavily maths-oriented - before choosing Computer Science and Informatics at the University of Nis's Faculty of Electronic Engineering, where she's currently still a student. It turned out to be the right call, and it's the path she's been building on ever since.

That pull toward technology started even earlier. With her dad working in IT, computers were part of the picture for as long as she can remember, and that naturally nudged her toward tech from a young age. She came up through the Natural Sciences and Mathematics course at Gymnasium "Bora Stankovic," and along the way was building console and web applications - a broad early toolkit that gave her a feel for a bit of everything before she found her focus.

Joining Loncom brought that focus into view. She was handed real-world responsibilities early on and had to get her head around HubSpot quickly - which she did - though, as she's the first to point out, there's still so much to learn, and she's fully there for it.

Andjela is naturally detail-oriented and, by her own admission, stubborn in the best way - once a problem is in front of her, she wants to solve it properly rather than patch over it. She tends to act as her own tester, thinking through every possibility and edge case to make a process as bulletproof as she can before it goes live. She's a fast learner who approaches tasks logically, and while she's comfortable working independently, the team is a big part of what keeps her motivated - she's just as happy building something as part of a group as she is heads-down on her own. What draws her to CRM work is the "behind-the-scenes" side that most people never see: it looks like a tidy address book from the outside, but underneath it's a lot of logic, structure, and careful planning to make all the pieces fit together.

Andjela is early in her CRM journey and clear about where she wants it to go: taking on bigger, trickier challenges, and growing into someone the team can genuinely lean on. What she's most enjoying so far is the environment itself - a supportive, fast-growing team where you can feel the momentum - and being part of that growth is a big part of what pushes her to give her best and keep levelling up alongside everyone else.
