Not everyone in CRM consulting started out studying physics. Bojana Maletic did - and the analytical habits she built taking apart problems in a physics lab now show up every time she takes apart a broken CRM system to figure out why it's failing.
Who She Is Today
At Loncom, Bojana is Data Analyst & CRM Team Lead, a role that combines technical delivery, client communication, project coordination, and supporting the development of other team members. Her work spans CRM implementation and development, data migrations and cleaning, reporting, dashboards, automation, integrations, and troubleshooting - translating business requirements into technical solutions across a wide range of platforms, including:
Platforms & Tools
The platforms and tools she works across day to day
| ✓ HubSpot | ✓ Salesforce |
| ✓ Pipedrive | ✓ Shopify |
| ✓ Xero | ✓ QuickBooks |
| ✓ Microsoft Power BI | ✓ Python |
| ✓ AI-assisted workflows & internal tools | |
Python, data analytics, reporting, Power BI, and AI are areas she's particularly focused on. She also genuinely enjoys working with financial and accounting data - projects involving CRM integrations with systems like Xero and QuickBooks are some of the work she finds most interesting, since they combine technical implementation with data accuracy and real business logic.
The Road Here
Bojana's path started earlier than university. In high school, she spent an academic year on a FLEX exchange scholarship in the United States, completing more than 100 hours of volunteering along the way. Living abroad at that age made her more independent, adaptable, and comfortable communicating across different cultures - and it's a big part of why she's fluent and confident working professionally in English today. She stayed involved with the program afterward as a City Representative for American Councils, taking part in alumni activities and community projects and travelling to different parts of Serbia along the way.
Bojana's path into technology started with physics. She initially studied at the Faculty of Physics at the University of Belgrade, completing two years in Applied and Computer Physics before realising that the areas she was most drawn to were programming, statistics, data, and computational problem-solving. During the pandemic, she made the decision to move fully into computer engineering to build a stronger foundation in programming, software, data, and engineering - and is now completing the final stage of her bachelor's degree, including her thesis, with plans to continue into a master's in artificial intelligence, data science, or applied computing.
Her original professional interest was primarily in data science and analytics, which is also what first drew her to Loncom - the chance to work with real data, reporting, statistics, and the systems businesses actually run on. She joined as a Junior Developer and gradually expanded into data analytics, reporting, automation, integrations, technical problem-solving, and client-facing work, progressing into her current role as Data Analyst & CRM Team Lead.
CRM wasn't originally the field she imagined entering, but it turned out to bring together many of the things she naturally enjoys: data, system architecture, automation, business processes, integrations, and understanding how information moves between different platforms.
How She Thinks
"I like understanding how systems work, where they fail, and how to rebuild them so that they make sense," Bojana says.
She's naturally analytical and precise, and cares a lot about technical correctness - implementing something because it appears to work on the surface isn't enough. She wants to understand the underlying logic, how the different components connect, and whether a solution will hold up as the system grows. At the same time, she enjoys the client-facing side of the role just as much: taking a complicated technical problem and explaining it in a way that's clear and relevant to the client. She's usually happiest when a project needs both - digging into a hard problem and building something practical to solve it.
Continued Learning
Outside her formal studies and work at Loncom, Bojana keeps building on her technical foundation through specialist programmes:
- A summer programme on Web3 and blockchain technologies at Petnica Science Center (August 2024)
- A programme on zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) through the Mathematical Academy in Belgrade (early 2025)
- The Petnica Summer Institute: Machine Learning for Scientific Research (August 2025)
She's also been accepted to PSIML, an intensive machine-learning programme taking place this August - the latest step in a long-term interest that's increasingly focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and analytics, and how those technologies apply to real systems and business problems.
Beyond the Office
Outside of Loncom, Bojana enjoys travelling and learning about new subjects, especially where technology overlaps with science, business, or finance. A quick snapshot:
