Not everyone finds their love for technology in a classroom. For Dunja Gvozdenovic, it showed up while she was moving between countries and cultures growing up. Everything else changed from place to place, but maths and technology stayed the same. That constant is a big part of what pulled her into computer science, and it is still with her today as a Full Stack Developer Intern at Loncom.
Who She Is Today
At Loncom, Dunja is a Full Stack Developer Intern, building client-facing features end to end, from scoping requirements through to deploying working solutions.
Tech Stack
The tools and platforms she works across day to day
| ✓ JavaScript & Node.js (Backend) | ✓ CSS (Frontend) |
| ✓ AWS / Cloud | ✓ Docker |
| ✓ HubSpot | ✓ API Integrations |
Alongside development, she owns API integrations that connect client systems with external services, and has introduced Docker based containerisation to streamline deployment. She also applies AI tools across code review, documentation, testing, and task automation to keep delivery fast and consistent.
The Road Here
That international outlook has shaped her whole path. Dunja is currently a second-year Computer Science student at the University of Southampton, having previously studied in Nottingham, where she was ranked first in her department for academic performance. It was there that she met Stefan, who introduced her to the Loncom team.
Her first role at Loncom was as a part-time CRM Developer, spending around eight to nine months designing HubSpot workflows and automations and working closely with the systems and devops teams. When that ended, she knew she wanted to keep working with the company, and was looking for a new challenge to develop her skills further. So over the summer, she picked something a little more niche to her studies: the Full Stack Developer internship she's in now.
Outside of Loncom, Dunja seeks out academic and personal development wherever she can find it, whether that's within her field or outside it. She was competitively selected for the National University of Singapore's School of Computing Summer Programme, joining the Deep Learning cohort and collaborating with the hardware team on robotics, one of her personal interests. She's also spent a summer in Munich on Ludwig Maximilian University's Language Programme, feeding her ongoing love of languages. Closer to home, she likes to challenge herself through hackathons as a hobby, drawn to the fast pace and how they push her to build under pressure and tight time constraints. Beyond the technical side, her leadership and social side comes through too, hosting and volunteering at several other academic events, and tutoring peers in STEM subjects. Most recently, she was elected Hackathon & Industry Officer for WECS at Southampton for the 2026/27 academic year.
