Not everyone in CRM consulting started out in a chemistry lab. Bojana Mihajlovic did - and it's exactly why she's good at untangling the messy, technical problems clients bring to Loncom Consulting.
Who She Is Today
At Loncom, Bojana is Team Lead, CRM Developer & Data Analyst, leading CRM strategy, data, and integration projects across a wide range of industries - from hospitality and ecommerce to education. HubSpot is where she specialises, but her experience spans a long list of platforms, including:
Platforms & Tools
The platforms she's worked across so far
She also works daily with productivity and analytics tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets, and various AI automation tools - pulling together the data and reporting side of client projects alongside the platform work. Beyond the technical toolkit, she brings team leadership and strategic planning to how those projects get run, keeping both the client relationship and the delivery team aligned from kickoff to go-live.
"My background is unusual, and that's exactly why I'm good at this," Bojana says.
Her path into CRM consulting didn't actually start in CRM. What began in chemical engineering labs eventually evolved into data, systems, and process consulting. Different countries, different industries, different job titles - but the thread connecting all of it is easy to spot once you know where to look.
The Road Here
Bojana's international streak actually started before university. In high school, she took part in the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) programme, a year abroad fully funded by the U.S. Department of State - a fairly serious head start for someone who'd go on to spend the next decade collecting passport stamps. She followed that up with seminars at Petnica Science Center, which is essentially summer camp for future scientists, covering everything from chemistry to biomedicine.
From there, she studied chemical engineering at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, graduating with a Bachelor's in Polymer Chemical Engineering before moving on to a Master's in Organic Chemical Technology. Somewhere in between, she squeezed in research stints across three continents: at the University of Tokyo through IAESTE, running phase analyses to study CO₂ capture in concrete; at the BioEcoUVa Research Institute in Valladolid, Spain through Erasmus+, studying supercritical fluids; and at summer schools in Graz and Berlin, covering topics from high-pressure technology to post-carbon policy.
Before Loncom, she put all that precision to work as a Quality Obtention Engineer with Groupe Michelin at Tigar Tyres, monitoring quality on semi-finished tyre products - which turned out to be surprisingly good training for spotting exactly where a CRM system is about to break.
How She Thinks
"I'm driven by wanting to understand things, and that shows up everywhere," Bojana says.
It shows up whether that's phase equilibrium in a lab, a client's tangled CRM setup, or a new language. The same instinct that drove her research abroad now shows up in how she approaches client work: start by understanding the system, then find where it's breaking.
That instinct isn't limited to science, either. Between 2018 and 2020, Bojana was a City Representative for foreign exchange programmes with American Councils for International Education, where she built an alumni community from scratch, coordinated projects with the Alumni Coordinator, ran project design workshops, and prepared budget reports - essentially, project management experience years before her first CRM project.
That curiosity doesn't switch off outside of work, either - there's always something new she's trying to get her head around.
Beyond the Office
Outside of Loncom, Bojana is rarely sitting still for long - between travel, the kitchen, and picking up her third language, there's always something new on the go. A quick snapshot:

Working With Bojana
"I worked alongside Bojana at Loncom Consulting and it was a pleasure to have her as a colleague! She handles the constant communication with clients so well, and she always understands the technical development work that needs to happen behind those requests. It is a rare skill to manage that balance with such calm! Beyond the work itself, she is simply a lovely person to have around. She is consistently in a good mood, easy to talk to, and she makes every day better for the team. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable colleague who builds a positive atmosphere in the workplace!"
